We are pleased to report that 94% of WashU Medicine faculty voted in favor of modernizing the faculty Appointments & Promotions Guidelines and Requirements (APGAR). The updated APGAR will take effect on July 1, 2024. 

2024 Dean’s Impact Awards Honor Faculty Mentors, Sponsors

The Washington University School of Medicine’s Dean’s Impact Awards recognize individuals who exhibit enduring commitment to advancing the careers of others through exceptional mentorship and sponsorship of learners, clinicians, educators and researchers.

This year, we honored 53 outstanding physician leaders who are positively shaping the next generation of clinicians, educators, researchers, and medical innovators.

OFPCD Welcomes Assistant Deans

As we continue to build and foster a culture of support, respect, and inclusion across the WashU Medicine community, the Office of Faculty Promotions & Career Development (OFPCD) will welcome two new members to support leadership and career development.

Dr. John Schneider, MD, MA, Associate Professor of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Division Chief of Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery will assume the role of Assistant Dean of Coaching.

Dr. Steve Taff, PhD, OTR/L, FNAP, FAOTA, Professor of Occupational Therapy and Medicine will assume the role of Assistant Dean of Faculty Leadership Development.

Both will begin their terms July 1, 2024.
