The Division of Public Health Sciences, Department of Surgery, invites you to join Shoba Ramanadhan, ScD, research scientist at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, as she presents “Participatory Implementation Science to Address Cancer Disparities.Dr. Ramanadhan will present on Friday, July 21 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

This event will be held in the Doll and Hill Room 2131 in the Taylor Avenue Building (600 S. Taylor). No RSVP needed; open to all.

Participatory implementation science – ongoing, iterative collaboration between researchers and stakeholders to improve the pathway between research and practice – offers an important opportunity to address cancer and other health disparities.  Dr. Ramandhan will present findings from recent studies conducted in partnership with community-based organizations serving vulnerable populations in Massachusetts. She will focus on capacity-building and social networks in the context of developing infrastructure in community-based organizations to build and leverage the cancer prevention and control evidence base.
